Amazing live animation using sand
I just had to post this video because I’m so impressed with it. The following video show how an artist ‘draws’ by spreading sand on a lightbox and creates an artwork that evolves into a series of scenes.
According to one of the post on digg (where I found it) by pchi, ‘this is the story of creationism told by Ferenc Cako at the 2003 Seoul International Cartoon & Animation Festival (SICAF).’
Here’s the video:

Funny Ameriquest commercials
While surfing the web, I found a TV advertisement for Ameriquest and it was (still is) very funny. The TV commercial below is just one of the whole series. I’ve decided to find as much as I can and keep them in one blog post.

Pathway for Wikipedia (Mac)
My brother-in-law just showed me this cool little app for Mac called Pathway that works somewhat like Visualthesaurus but with a whole new perspective – for browsing Wikipedia.
With pathway, you can basically browse Wikipedia, while visually see how your topi is related to other topic titles. Click on those related titles and you’ll see the Wiki for that topic, plus its related keywords. At the very end, you’ll end up with a semantic chart of related keywords.
This application is very useful when doing brainstorming for ideas, or expanding knowledge about how various things are interconnected with other domains. I used to do this with Visualthesaurus to explore various aspects of design (both in graphics design and application design). Now, I have Pathway!

Crazy Elmo TMX
A friend of mine was bugging me to get her an Elmo TMX (stands for Tickle Me Extreme) from Melbourne and I was just wondering what was so special about this Elmo and she showed me a video of it on YouTube. Now, I want one too.
It is way tooo cute to not post this:
Sad sad day - Steve Irwin killed
I received news this afternoon about Steve Irwin’s death and I can’t help but make a blog post to honour his contributions.
If you do not already know, Steve Irwin died this morning (Sept 4, 2006) while filming a documentary in Northern Australia after being struck by a stingray’s barb.
How small can the world get?
Weird thing struck me this morning. I was checking my log and found a referrer from a site that is a personal blog. So, out of curiousity, I went over the site and guess what I’ve found out… another bloke in Melbourne (same as I), with the same name as me (Wee Keat) AND from the same country (Malaysia). How coincidental can it get?
Awesome TV Commercial
I don’t own a car. But when I came across this TV commercial, I’m very impressed. This is what careful concept/idea generation and refinement followed by careful and detailed execution can achieve.
My new MacBook Pro
Few months back, my company bought me a brand new 15” MacBook Pro and I’ve decided to snap a few piccies for everyone to see. I’m so in love with it at the moment!
Finally...
Finally, I’ve got my arse in gear and set up this site – something that I’ve been wanting to do for yonks but too lazy…
